Agriculturally Related Business Experience
1997 to PresentSpecializing in consulting activities that relate to financial evaluations of farms, ranches, and agriculturally related businesses with special emphasis on retail agronomy, irrigation and farm equipment operations.  Preparing business prospectuses for owners and stockholders that are interested in selling their ongoing businesses.  The process includes contacting potential buyers and then participating with the company staff in preparing Letters of Intent, Purchase Agreements, and Closings.
1959 to PresentPresident & CEO of Big Byron Agri Services, Inc., Grant, Nebraska.  Big Byron Agri Services was started in Byron, Nebraska, in 1959 as a retail farm business that provided agronomic products and custom  application services to local growers.  The Company expanded by adding its second full service retail center in Grant, Nebraska, in 1968.  Irrigation equipment and farm equipment were added later to the product line plus six more retail Agronomy centers in Southwest Nebraska.  In 1993, the company sold its Agronomy operations to Cenex/Land-O-Lakes and, in 1995, sold its irrigation and farm equipment operations to local businesses.
1993 to 1997Management Consultant to Cenex/Land-O-Lakes, St. Paul, Minnesota.  With the sale of the Agronomy division, I joined the corporate staff of Cenex/Land-O-Lakes and worked on special business projects.  This included the evaluation of the company's Agronomy operations and later in acquisitions.
1965 to 1968General Manager of Valmont Mid-continent, Valley, Nebraska.  Valmont Mid-continent was a subsidiary company responsible for the sales and service of center pivot irrigation equipment in Nebraska, North and South Dakota.
1958 to 1964Farmed corn, wheat, soybeans, and grain sorghum with father.
